If there is no condemnation in Christ, why do we still struggle with sin—and how do we actually change? In this episode of The Extra 10, Ben, Pastor Jason, and Pastor Tony unpack Romans 8, our identity as adopted children of God, and the Holy Spirit’s role in helping us overcome sin.
From church hurt and shame to accountability, daily habits, and the things that consume our attention, this conversation explores what it looks like to live from God’s love. Plus, a listener’s question: Do we have to think about Jesus all the time, or is there room for football, movies, and downtime?

Sin can pull us down no matter how hard we try to resist it. Romans 8 reminds us that freedom from sin doesn’t come from trying harder, but from the power of the Holy Spirit living within us. Because of Christ, there is no condemnation for those who belong to Him. We are not simply trying to be better—we are adopted children of God, called to live in the freedom Christ has already secured.
